It's entirely possible those elements will be in the game and just aren't shown in the trailer, but what I'm seeing right now is a game with a tiny roster of seemingly identical characters and neither active abilities nor RPG elements. I have always been a fan of the METAL SLUG art style, but I was never really any good at side scrollers, so I never got far. Instead of being a pseudo-bullet hell shooter, Tactics serves to cater more to strategy game players, while also starring the cast of the Metal Slug series. ago Big fan of tactics games and metal slug growing up. What I'm missing here is anything that would make it an actual strategy RPG. But as for what you actually, actively do in the game, they've shown nothing but moving and shooting. It also seems like you can switch weapons (they only show them using rifles, but you can see them holding pistols and knives in multiple scenes). We see some cool stuff: The battlefield expanding, use of vehicles and what seems like a mechanic that rewards attacking the same target with multiple characters.
